How long do grade 1 piano results take to come?

DD sat her grade 1 recently - how long do the results take to come?

Theory results were in the post today. DD got 95%.

Practical were out a few weeks ago - at least DD's teacher's other pupil got hers before we broke up on July 7.

Can I do a mini-hijack? How long (typically) from when a child starts piano to when they might be good enough to sit for a grade 1 exam?

Flack - how long's a piece of string?!
Anything from 6 months to 3 years, or longer. It depends on their age, musical aptitude, and whether or not they practice.
It also depends on the teacher a bit too, as some are a bit precious and will only enter children when they expect them to get a distinction. Others are happy for them to just scrape through.
