Does anyone know when these will/likely be released?

Could you gave a look at last year's? See if there's a dare on them - probably will br around the same time?

Chaos that's a good idea. The Telegraph have released something but with loads of schools missing its rather meaningless.

Until the full data comes out in January (on the 2013 exams) everything is utterly unreliable.

Thanks talkinpeace i agree with you and some students are still having their papers remarked as we speak. I'll try not to think about league tables till after xmas. I looked on the Ft site for any dates they may have released last yrs but its only showing real time.

I do not have a sub to the FT, but I'd be interested to see what is in this page .....
www.ft.com/cms/s/0/259bee36-f7f8-11e1-bec8-00144feabdc0.html
as when you open up all the available fields, their ranks are qualitative (ie biased) as well as quantitative

Its also interesting to compare the Governments Rankings with the FTs ones ....
What does the FT have against Sevenoaks school and Kings Wimbledon?

No idea what FT might have against it, but KCS is usually underrated academically because it doesn't shine in league tables (no A levels; all IB until 2014 year9 joiners). Its IB points are however world class.

FT published last year's league table(s) on 7 Sept 2012.

Im having problems opening that link at the moment, but the FT rankings are based on numbers going to Oxbridge and UCL (questionable in my opinion) what are the qualitative indicators that you speak of? Or did you mean you sense they're ranking are not strictly quantitative as they would have us think.

Where are they getting their data from?
as the DFEE does not release the checked data until October

No, sorry, the FT that peteneras said published on 7th September : before the dfe ....

I'm in the 93% so only have an amused interest in the Independent schools

I'm not sure either, could it be DFEE have released it to FT at a much earlier date? Some internal agreement perhaps.

We generally do quite well in the FT one, so, it's my favourite.

They won't release them to papers early!!! Anything published before DfE released data will have been sourced from the schools themselves. Official League table data is VERY much embargoed.
