Anyone around who has children who attend Kings Ely?

Boys are starting in September.. am feeling a bit abandoned by school and don't want to be a nag, but could do with uniform list and house allocation etc.
Have called a couple of times but just seem to get fobbed off with "all the information is sent out in the summer term".
Don't want to look like a PITA before we have even started but... I could do with getting some shopping done before we go away for the summer!

"all the information is sent out in the summer term".
OP don't know it at all but it is normal to send out information after the May/June half term.

thanks... just getting edgy... any other such huge investment and I would be jumping up and down by now.

Must admit if your DS's are boarding I would have thought you'd know your house by now. Did you have choice?

Hi NeverKnowingly. My two start at KEJ in September and am also waiting excitedly for the promised Starter Park and house allocations to get cracking with ordering uniforms. We also have to move house to Ely shortly so I am focusing on that at the moment! I suppose you could always order the uniform (have discovered it's from www.schoolblazer.com if you didn't already know that) except the ties and sports bags now?

Eek hi Shergar
Would you feel you were outing yourself too much to say what age you children are? Ds1 is going to be in year 5 and ds2 in year 2 ( so at acremomt) not boarding.

indeed..
just got a letter yesterday inviting us to school on the 29th June. The boys are really looking forward to it.

How is your move to Ely coming on?

Yes, we had those too! Mine were very excited. Did you feel a touch disappointed that it wasn't a huge envelope from the school with all the info on houses etc. too though?!

Move going OK I think - we have an offer accepted on a nice house in Ely (not too far to walk from the school, and overlooking a lovely green and playground), and accepted an offer on ours. Just waiting for all the paperwork to be sorted out, and get a date to move.

yay all sounds positive.

I agree I was hoping it would be all the info we have been waiting for but, hey, this will help the boys with the transition
