Anyone know how much it costs LEAs to educate a child in mainstream for a year?

depends on the age of the child. I know that sixth formers are worth about a grand a year more than year 7-11

It varies from school to school I believe. Dependent on factors such as number of FSM, SEN and so on.

I found \link{http://www.guardian.co.uk/Archive/Article/0,4273,4462248,00.html\this article} from 2002 which I posted on another thread the other day. It says:

"The cost per pupil in state schools is £3,735 in primary schools and £4,855 in secondary schools."

You might want to dig deeper though to see if that's what you are looking for.

Looking anywhere in particular socci?

If you want a particular local authority, look on their website for 'section 52 statement' lots of figures on there but I'm sure that's one of them. It's in the same format for each authority.
