Hi, looking for some advice about good local secondaries. My DH and our 2 boys are looking to move to St A's with our two boys aged 9 and 6. Any tips?

If you work in London, how do you manage the commute/school run etc. Both DH and I have jobs in the City.

Thanks.

If you are thinking ahead, secondary school open evenings are on right now week (some have already happened) - it may be worth coming and looking, because if you like a particular school then that may guide your choice over where to live.

For boys state schools, assuming you are not religious choices are Verulum (boys), Sandringham, Beaumont, Marlborough and Samuel Ryder Academy (listed in order of popularity/difficulty of getting a place)

Thanks very much. I had a look at Sandringham last week and viewing Beaumont/Verulum this week. It's difficult to make a decision based on a quick visit though as we don't live in the area.

Do you know what is going on with Beaumont's playing fields? I heard they were being sold?
