St Clares, your Twins enjoyed it that summer term. Wink

I always wanted to go Malory Towers, have the nerve of Elizabeth the naughtiest girl in school, and have adventures like the famous five. Enid Blyton has a lot to answer for. Grin

Now I just want to go to Hogwarts but I'm not sure I'd receive a traditional English Education there [hwink]

I'd prefer the chalet school to be fair. Pretty uniform, loads of excursions, Swiss chocolate!

I always fancied Trebizon School - a bit less dated than Malory Towers.

However I don't think they got the talk 'we don't count our sucesses as those who get good grades, although of course these are great acheivements, but we count sucesses as those who...............' or something like that. Grin

Trebizon School?

Never heard of it.

Sorry.

Not Enid Blyton.

Would definitely want to go to the chalet school given the choice. What I couldn't do at a sheets and pillow case party!

Malory Towers seemed more fun than St Clare's, but the Naughtiest Girl was at a mixed school that did gardening which sounded cool (my school had pupils' gardens way back when the latin teacher was a gel there, but they were tarmacced into netball courts by the time I was there- shame, I'd have rather grown peas!)

I really wanted to have adventures caused by being in a stolen helicopter etc (valley of adventure) and solve crimes like Fatty and the Find-outers though.

you could have the baths lukewarm if you wanted- just not hot!

PotteringAlong · 13/07/2011 21:52

Hot baths. The scourge of the devil along with sleeping in and not keeping your cubicle tidy... :)

But no-one in any of enid blytons books ever went for a wee or a poo did they? Even on islands or up mountains. NEVER!

Fatty was so called because of his initials you know - Frederick Algernon Trotteville. I want to go on Mastermind and have EB as my subject

Feenie · 13/07/2011 22:09

Me too - but I would win Grin

Kingscote for me for sure. I'm probably Ann. Although I would like to be Miranda. Or, Nick, obv.

St Clare's for me. That cold swimming pool at Malory Towers - ugh! I'd be shivering at the side with Gwen and Mary-Lou. Also Darrell with her slaps got on my nerves.
