Exeter University?

Just a quick question really for anyone with experience of the university of Exeter, especially the education department or distance learning courses.

What do you think of it? How well is it regarded? I've looked at the Guardian tables and it seems to come out quite well. I've chosen it purely because of the distance learning element - nowhere else that I can find seems to offer this.

Thanks in advance :)

I did my PGCE at Exeter. I loved it and thought it was very well run with knowledgble and approachible staff. It is on separate campus to the rest of the uni as it used to be a teaching training college, I felt it was a real bonus.

I did my Maths degree at Exeter and found it to be excellent. I was living on st luke's in the first year and met plenty of
Education people. It was my second choice for my pgce but ended up going to bath as it's closer to home.
Exeter's highly rated in the university guides and you would do well there! Smile

I was at Exeter (History - main campus). Loved it.
Highly respected by blue-chip employers too.

I went to Exeter University for my PGCE. It has/ had a good reputation. Exeter is a nice city. Its a great area ( one day I might like to retire there).
Sometimes reputations are not justified though. Hope you enjoy it and make the most of what it may offer - or make the most of your time yourself anyway.

Best place to go for information on this has to be The Student Room (all one word then either .com or .uk)

Good luck to you!
