What happens with international shipping when signed for tracking ceases outside uk?

Sold some danc shoes my daughter grew out of. The winning bidder lives in Bulgaria. I know that paypal requires trackable postage to be used.
I have checked Royal Mail website and International signed for only allows tracking as far as the uk border. So what happens if the buyer puts in an item not received claim, how can I track the item ?

Please anyone?
The winner has emailed me to say she needs them by Saturday auction only ended yesterday - Sunday and I need to go get a price for international. So not a demanding buyer then!
I don't want to send them off to her and then be subject to an item not received claim if I can help it.

Unfortunately, you don't have a choice. International only works on one price anyways, so you'll have to just send them and hope for the best.

I've sent to Bulgaria before this, and its arrived within 4 days. So your best bet is to hare off to the post office and post the shoes. They'll be able to advise you on insurance there too.

The only other option is a courier, which is really expensive!

Don't give in!! Charge them what it is or no sale, report them to ebay for non payment if they get shitty., you have to protect yourself. i won't send abroad now tbh

You could try tracking it on www.track-trace.com ~ if you use the post/EMS box it links to the post sytem in whatever country you're sending to. I had one a couple of weeks ago that was delayed and I couldn't track past RM site. When I checked on track-trace it shhowed that a delivery had been attempted but postie had obviously not left a card. Good luck
