I'm confused with this free postage thing

that the greedy B's at ebay insist we use for books.
It says I ahve to offer a postage cost, then tells me I can't list more than £0.00. BUT I still have to offer a service even though it's free. So do I have to put sellers standard rate? I'm confused

Yes, this free postage rule is extremely frustrating...particularly for all of us who did not make any profit on postage. Grrr.
Anyway...yes, you have to specify the service you will use to send the book. You tick the free postage box, then specify seller's standard rate, then select the service you will use from the drop down menu, first, second, signed for, whatever....
Hope that helps. I have started using Amazon since the free postage rule was introduced on Ebay, and am impressed - it's more impersonal, but listing is quick, and I have sold several books with very little work!

Rosie - thank you. I am going to sell all the rest on Amazon, just haven't got round to it yet and the book I've listed was in with a bundle of ebay stuff anyway.
