I recently sold some things on ebay and when payment was made to me the fees alutomatically came off, but I have now received an invoice for October. Having looked at the invoice it shows the insertion fees & final selling fees as a total of £15.12, and it says that this amount will be taken out of my paypal account. But looking at the amount that I have received for the items that I sold, almost half of this has already been paid automatically when the buyer paid for the items.

I have withdrawn all of the money from my paypal account so that they can't take it all, but having looked on the ebay forums can't find anything really helpful except on the American site which seems to say that people are being doubled billed adnd that you need to turn automatic payments off.

  1. How do I do this, because I can't work that out at all, or find aywhwere that tells you how to do it?

  1. How do I contact ebay to tell them they are billing me incorrectly?

  1. I think I may have been billed incorrectly about 18 months ago but didn't realise at the time, am going to check that in a while. Would I be able to claim them back from ebay if I have?

ANy help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Not sure about that as i have never had them take off their payment automatically ? Are you sure they do that ?
I always thought they invoiced you.

Did you not have to set up a second account (your bank account )when opening paypal ? If so they will just take the money from that

The fees that come off the paypal payments you receive are the Paypal fees, not the Ebay fees. They are separate.

What iLove said - and withdrawing won't help as paypal will pay it anyway and leave your account in debit - or take it from your card f you have a card linked to your PP account.

OK, thank you very much. I didn't realise you had to pay PayPal fees.
