Hello, fairly seasoned ebayer here but need some help!

Recently sold a phone on ebay for £135. It was working perfectly and I had already had to relist due to some scammer in nigeria bidding. I posted special delivery free off charge.

Buyer has had it two days, claims he like the phone but cannot work the wifi on it. I KNOW this worked as we used it! he wants a full refund or £50 partial refund!!! I feel he is taking the mick certainly with the partial refund. Is this my issue if he cannot make a feature work?surely he should take this up with 02 or whoever he is with?

I have googled the issue and it does seem a lot of people have this problem and the issue lies with their modem etc not the phone. If we cannot agree will paypal find in his favour? I really cannot be bothered to sell it a third time when it works fine. It will end up costing a fortune re postage, listing fees, paypal fees etc.

Any help asap!! tia

I reckon he's trying it on cos he can't work it. I'd send him alink to the google page you've read to start with.
We had something like this when we sold DH's phone - got a 'it won't work you will need to send me a new battery or £20 to cover the cost of a new battery' email.
We replied - 'try charging the battery first. If it still doesn't work return the battery to us and we will have it looked at'

Got a sheepish sounding reply saying they'd charged the phone and it was now working fine
