How do I do a partial refund request in a dispute??

Bought item listed as used for 2 weeks (changing bag) and the back of the bag is so filthy dirty the fabric has actually rubbed away and is no longer fabric but smooth.

I've emailed the seller who says there were no marks but will refund if I return. I have said you will also need to refund postage to me. I know a dispute will make you pay postage, as a seller I have refunded postage too on the two occasions someone queried what they had bought.

I have heard of people opening a dispute for sig not as described but being granted a partial refund rather than have to suck up the return postage charge. For a reduction of the price I would prefer to do this. Any pointers how I go about doing this please??

Thank you.

open a dispute and state your case. It will then be up to the seller to either insist you return for a full refund or she may settle for giving you a partial. If she has any sense she will go with your wishes. If she insists on you returning it then the chances are she won't give you the return postage but you must remember to return it trackable
