Am told it is on sale in places like poundland & poundstretcher etc...but have not got one near me!

Its COLGATE SMILES 0-2yrs in a YELLOW box.

I gather it's approx a £1 a tube...and if so i'd buy as many as i could!!! I'd pay your ebay fees/postage costs and a bit extra for helping me......

I use easy transaction!

I think they have that over here in Germany. I'll check for you. Will it make a difference to him if the packaging is in German?

Haribosmummy Thu 16-Jul-09 12:41:12

My Dsis is a dentist... I'll check with her to see if she can get any for you.

Will also check Ebay for you.

MsF Thu 16-Jul-09 12:56:41

thanks all!

scootergrrrl... packaging no problem...its the taste ...he would notice the packaging- but as long as it tasted 'the same' he'd be fine.

haribosmummy- thanks....i am aware that no dentist would 'recommend' i use a 0-2yr paste for my 10yr old...but have decided that willing brushing has to be better than forced or non existant brushing!!!! I mention this incase your sister raises her eyebrows!!!!!

eandh Tell your dc's they have good taste! envy that you have poundland AND poundstretcher nearby!!!! Fingers crossed you can help me.....

yes and no....its the wrong picture - shows a green tube- which he i have emailed them to clarify! I thought i'd succeded last week...ordered 10 tubes from a website....they phoned monday to apologise that their website was out of toothpaste for DS

Scootergrrrl Thu 16-Jul-09 12:57:44

I'll check at the local chemist for you - will update later!

Haribosmummy Thu 16-Jul-09 13:05:42

I've FB'ed my Dsis, so will let you know what she says.

There is none listed on Ebay... but I'll keep an eye out for you.

Have you considered phoning Colgate / Palmolive directly to see if they have any spare stocks?

If they are still selling it to other countries, it's possible that they still have supplies somewhere?

Do you know why it's been withdrawn from the UK? I'd be tempted to call them and see if you cantalk to the regulatory dept. They will know why it's been withdrawn and whether it's readilyavailable in other countries.

MsF Thu 16-Jul-09 13:07:38

thanks scootergrrrl.... Fingers Crossed!

benfmsmum Thu 16-Jul-09 13:17:25

I'll also check my local chemist as I'm going there this afternoon. My ds is autistic too and so I can fully understand where you are coming from trying to source this!! Good luck!!

MsF Thu 16-Jul-09 13:26:39

i drove 40 miles yesterday to a poundstretcher.....the closest to me....and it had been taken over by a new retailer!!!!!

(i'd travel 100 miles if i could get enough of this toothpaste to last a year! I'd then spend the year...trying to 'wean' him off of it..... Damn these manufactures discontinuing things without checking with us parents first!!!!)

Fimbo Thu 16-Jul-09 13:31:27

Mrs F, I will look in our local Poundstretcher for you on Saturday, I am guessing you won't care how many tubes you end up with!

benfmsmum Thu 16-Jul-09 13:31:47

Typical manufacturers to give us something and then when we are all used to it the take it away!!

Have you spoken to your dentist to see if they can get it?

Fimbo Thu 16-Jul-09 13:32:01

Actually make that Poundland, although we do have a stretcher too.

Bakersman Thu 16-Jul-09 13:36:57

SammyK Thu 16-Jul-09 13:38:22

LilRedWG Thu 16-Jul-09 13:43:06

Will keep my eye out for you. Have contacted Colgate and explained the situation - they may have a random box lying around.

MsF Thu 16-Jul-09 13:43:15
