So I was charged £15 for P&P for items that cost £2.14 to send

I bought several items off a seller thinking she would reduce her postage charge (she agreed to this in an email beforehand but we did not agree the exact amount).

She then charged me £15 for postage which was cheaper than the individual posting would have costed, but was still excessive! I emailled her several times but she would not budge.

Should I:

• complain to Ebay
• leave negative feedback
• leave neutral feedback
• ignore it

I would leave neutral feedback if you were happy with the items and just say excessive postage costs...you can leave no starts on the fair postage side of things as well.

If a certian amount was not agreed upon then you really can't complain...unless you saw it in Paypal and didn't pay until you spoke to her as she still could have changed the invoice, but since you paid it then nothing you can really do unfortunatly

Depends how much higher it is. I understand you are allowed to charge for actual postage, packing and a small amount for effort in P&P costs. But this still has to be reasonable.

I.E. I am selling my first Ebay item and the actual cost of postage will be £5.25 so I rounded it up to £6 to cover packing as well.

If it is much higher than the actual postage cost, I would complain to Ebay direct. Otherwise I would just leave negative/neutral feedback.

Well, £15.00 seems excessive for a brown paper parcel send bog-standard postage, it didn't need any sort of packing (it was FEATHERS ffs!). I had assumed that as I was buying EXTRA FEATHERS she would just bung it all in for a reasonable price.

I argued and then paid because I didn't see what else I could do, as she wouldn't shift her position.

I've never left bad feedback before but it seems SOOO grabby

this is why I never ebay - you always have to suck up and brown nose with the feedback to ensure that others will buy from you in the future.

Most sellers will do you a separate invoice for multiple sales. Were you actually buying feathers?

Right well I have left Neutral feedback and explained. I feel AWFUL about it but I do think she was jolly unreasonable and it is not really cricket to pump up your P&P to that extent.

I can't believe you agreed to pay £15 tbh. What were the individual postage costs for the separate items? You surely bought a lot of items from her! Unless it is a very heavy item, I don't think I would bid for anything with a higher p&p of about £3. Anything else is blatant price-hiking.

I should add my postage of £5.25 is so high as it is special delivery with insurance of up to £200 included. But then again I am not posting feathers

She did charge less for the combined postage.

You should have agreed an amount before purchasing.
