eBay

Where do I stand? (It's my own fault)

An item of mine ended on the 20th & the buyer paid on the 21st.

I tried to post prior to Xmas but was unable to so emailed the buyer to advise.

Tried to post yesterday but the post office was closed so it's going to be tomorrow before it gets posted which I have messaged to buyer to explain.

Now - I get the feeling the buyer is going to get funny from the tone of her email - which I guess she has a right to do as it has been 6 days since she paid.

I feel really bad as I usually post the day after I recieve payment.

Anywho - if the buyer gets funny/threatens to neg me etc where do I stand? Is it just tough poop because I didn't get it out quick enough.

(Just to add I did state on the listing that if they wanted delivery guranteed before Xmas to select Special Delivery but the buyer didn't so it wouldn't have reached her before Xmas but I know that's not the point)

I'd just apologise. Resonable people don't get that funny. Its Christmas FGS!!! If I were you I wouldn't go on about it, send it as soon as you can, then leave lovely feedback about patient buyer. You can always add a little something to the parcel if you like to show add to the guilt factor and make them feel unable to leave you negative feedback!

Have you had a lot of good feedback up till now?
Normally people are ok once they have recieved their item.
If they leave negative feedback I think you can respond.
Don't worry about it just put it down to experience.
Good luck.

I would just apologise. I am very fed up with the Christmas post. I dispatched all my goods really quickly before Christmas (I couldn't have been quicker!)and yet I am down as slow because 2nd class post was very, very slow. I think people went on how long it took to get them and no one read the time and date of posting.

I've got 900+ FB all positive so the thought of getting a neg stings.

I've been toying with the idea of refunding postage.

Gawd. I've got to post a box to Germany and it's not even wrapped yet! mind you she's waiting for a postage cost before paying...

Just apologise and say you hope she likes it.
She might mark you down on postage times but I doubt it'd be worse than a neutral if you are pleasant and apologetic?

I've kept her informed all the way & have apologised so do you think that'll be enough??

Remind her that ebay state that sellers have SEVEN days to post out your item

Is it 7 working days we get? I can never remember!!

Plus the last day for posting prior to Xmas was the Saturday so she wouldn't have gotten it yet anyway!
