Bought a pair of shoes which were not the size advertised. Seller quite happy to give a refund if i return them - she wants me to return them first and then give me a refund .... I want a refund FIRST and then I will return them ..... what should I do?

If I do it properly through paypal I think they would force a refund first wouldn't they?

Worried I will end up with no shoes and no money - imagine if they get "lost in the post" or "damaged" in transit?

You need to return them first.

Get a proof of posting (free) and that'll insure the shoes up to £36 for loss/damage (claim against Royal Mail).

Otherwise think of it from the seller's point of view - if she refunds you now, she'll have no money and no shoes (and have to trust you to return them). Not saying you wouldn't etc, but she doesn't know you.

If you return something to a company like Amazon, they send you the refund once they receive the item back.

I would always wait for buyer to return items before refund just send recorded delivery!

If I was selling I wouldn't give a refund until I had the goods.

If you bought them from a shop you would have to return them for a refund.

Return to seller, recorded delivery.

As a seller I would not be happy to refund anything tbh without it being returned. When it is, I will refund plus postage costs no problem.
