eBay

I'm selling something on ebay, it's reached a ridiculous price & I feel really guilty!

it's a Stokke Tripp Trapp chair, good condition & I've been honest about the varnish being a bit worn but it's got to 90 quid plus £12 p&p. I know it's the bidder's fault if they get carried away but I feel guilty - am I daft or what??

they often go for those kind of prices even if they're a bit worn & tatty, it could be someone local who wants to collect it?

I sold an Ikea bookcase on ebay for more than I paid for it!

Don't feel bad.

good for you!

this happened to me a while back - sold an ergo sling for more than I paid for it. Madness.

I considered it karma for some of the gorgeous clothes I've sold on there for pennies.

Don't worry about it, if they're willing to pay for it let them. Have you got another one you want to sell off eBay? If you think that's high for a Tripp Trapp, I've always wanted one but don't have the funds at the normal cost of them.

I once listed a load of my old Guide Albums - quite a few consecutive years, but listed individually - most of them sold - for about 99p - my starting price - but one seemingly random one sold for £31!!! Apparently that particular year there were limited prints of the album so it was rarer - the fact that it had been drawn/coloured throughout seemed to make no difference (or perhaps it did - who knows how much it would have sold for in mint condition )

People are odd.

My mum had a beuatiful Ozzy Clark original which I sold for her after my dad died.
It sol for over £300 even though it had been long but had been cut to knee length.

She had taken it as organisers spoils for a jumble sale in about 1978.
I have toldher that she will go to hell

She nearly keeled over when i told her how much she had got and it bought her some beautiful winter clothes that she couldn't afford otherwise

We had friends coming to stay with their baby over summer, so I bought a cheap cot off eBay for £30.

One month later, having being cleaned and nicely photographed, it was back for sale on eBay and fetched £87 !
