Item not received...buyer sent this message

Have already posted and got some good advice, order coat 19/10 and paid straight away from USA. not received and emailed seller who said sent.
Flagged dispute with paypal (mn messages said wait longer but already sent message), anyway i got this reply....

""I'll tell you one more time, please wait the total time you should and even longer to get your coat in the mail. If you are not patient enough there is nothing you or I can do. You can't ask for a refund ASAP, since jacket was sent and there is prove of it (customs form # LC85932855US). JUST BE PATIENT PLEASE !!!!! Newop""

oh and my coat has still not arrived...

that's not long to wait
Our local post parcels are taking 2-3 weeks from places like amazon and boden who despatch pronto
Get toyour local sorting office and enquire about delays
But stuff from USA can take ages sometimes

already asked, coat was £45 so concerned that if it goes missing i will have the hassle of waiting of paypal to refund and also have to get another one the same colour as i ordered a hat to match from somebody else.

Just thought that message was a bit off..

for anything from the USA I usually ask the seller to tell me when they've posted it. I've never gotten anything faster than 3-4 weeks, more often it's nearer 6 weeks, but it does depend on the method and cost of postage. I use surface mail where possible and that takes about 6 weeks.

Really, i have have ordered loads of stuff polo tops for ds from different buyers and always had within 7 days. that why i was so worried. would of ordered from somehwere else had i of know. postal time says 7-10 days as well.

seller seems rude to me....

Perhaps mail does take a while there but it varies. I've ordered something online from the US and it was posted on 28th October so it's had over a week using first class USPS service. I've looked on their website and the estimate delivery time there says (varies) Confused so not at all vague then!

I do agree that the message seems rude in tone and that she sounded annoyed but did she have a reason to be so?

I'll be honest I think filing the dispute as quickly as you did may be behind that. that's done now though.

If it hasn't arrived by one month after the purchase date then contact them again and seek the info you need to claim the funds back.

you only get 21 days to file it on payal. so im nearly there now.
I feel like i am made out to be the bad guy, when all i done was pay straight away..

postal time 7-10 days sounds to me like they will post 7-10 days after receiving payment

I thought you had forty-odd days to file a dispute?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre within 45 calendar days of payment. By opening a dispute, you are able to communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you and your seller are unable to agree on a solution, you must escalate the dispute to a PayPal claim within 20 calendar days of the date the dispute was opened. By escalating to a claim, you would be asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.

sorry thats what i read, well its 20 days now (or there abouts) and had already emailed seller to see if sent. she said yes the next day.

I would just open a dispute with paypal, you can always close this if it turns up.

Some items get seized by customs and can take weeks until they are sent on there way, if this has happened customs will charge you a fee. This happened to us a few years ago, the item took 2 months to arive and then we had to pay customs fee's.

Also a few months ago i sent a item to the US, it took 8 weeks to arive and the seller kept e-mailing me asking where it was, once it arived all was ok.

Airmail is suposeed to take 5-10 days (i think), they may have sent it surface (if they do that in theus) this can take up to 10 weeks.

i paid $19.95 for delivery so would be annoyd if it was sent surace.

I really don't think you've allowed enough time tbh.

At this time of year parcels from the USA can take weeks & weeks - especially if they get stopped at customs.

Yes the seller was a little short but tbh she is probably annoyed that you opened dispute so quickly.

I can understand to a point but charging £19.95 and stating USPS Priority Mail International, 6 - 10 days.
Wouldnt you be peeved that you didnt get your goods.

That's the risk you take when buying from USA though - I always expect it to take weeks as it very often does.
