eBay

buyer driving me mad

sold an item to honk kong last month, sent airsure tracked etc.

the parcel (according to the online tracker) arrived in early august.

buyer now sending up loads of emails telling us to check with the post office to find out what's happened to it.

We've sent the tracking no to him though he keeps telling us to ask our post office. what i don't know.

he's now opened a dispute, as far as we know the parcel arrived. he has a low score and private feedback.

any thoughts?

Hong Kong isnt covered by Paypal protection, so the buyer will win a dispute i think

Tell them to contact their PO themselves. Though it does look like you have lost out on this one.

Have you put the tracking details in the dispute?

Was it valuable?

Sounds like a con to be honest.

have told him to contact the office, his english is very bad though and can hardly understand his messages.

have put tracking number on the dispute. item worth £60

we can claim off the post office, though would they let me? to them it has been delivered. we could only claim up to £36 though.

Can't you track it online for him just to get him off your back?

Report
southeastastra · 03/09/2008 17:37

i have as far as us and airsure and HK post (checked all online) it's there he still reckons he hasn't got it and airsure can't give us any more proof (no signature proof availble for international service).

Did they accept Hong Kong tracking? I didnt know Hong Kong was covered! Good for you, especially if he did indeed get his parcel!

Report
southeastastra · 04/09/2008 17:21

yes they accepted it. i sent tracking number and copies of the delivery receipt to paypal.

buyer is still bugging us, saying we could track it more for him, but we simply can't do anymore.

really in a quandry with this one. would refund him if we genuinely thought he hadn't received it.

he cant open up any more disputes. its up to him to now find out where it went.

i've asked him again and again to check on his side and with his neighbours etc, but he just ignores the question. he insists i still check this end. it's driving me barmy.

i'm tempted to ask him why his feedback is private, does that seem rude to ask?

(sorry to go on about this)

Am not surprised paypal sided with you tbh

you provided online tracking

that's all they need

proof you sent and it was delivered.
Good job you got tracking. well done

It is not your problem as you have done everything in your power. Seriously don't even entertain the thought of refunding the guy.
His fb is prob private for a reason...most people who have private fb are crooks. Not all but a lot...
