On my first listing, I've been contacted by someone wanting to buy immediately and happy to pay more than the current bid - is this frowned upon? I'm happy to sell soon as poss, but don't want to go wrong on my first outing.

Its my first thing to sell, I'm quite nervous, and rushed between kids, so any advice greatly appreciated! TIA

if someone has bid already then you cannot sell to someone else if it hadnt got a bid then you could change to bin

if you end sale and then sell outisde of e bay you ar enot covered by e bay if they mess you about tell them they will have to bid as others had as you cannot change it now a bidder is already bidding on item

i would only ever change it if no bids then you can change to buy it now but its unfair to person bidding and against e bay rules

they may be trying to take advantage beings your new to seeling but if somene has aleady bid leave it as you may get more than whats offered by the end of bidding and if you dont you know you were fair about it

if they messed you about you would have no support from ebay or paypal and if they retracted there payment after recieving item you cannot claim as it would have been sold against rukes so you would not be covered

Thats really helpful, thanks. There are no bids yet, so I may add a buy it now, to be safe, if no bids by the time I get back to the computer.

I'm a bit embarrassed by how exciting this feels! Suddenly I'm looking at the contents of my loft with new eyes!

lol make sure you research on e bay any items your selling to see what price people are roughly asking for so your not just givibng it away

just put in the search name of your item get rough idea what they sell for so you know if someone asks to buy now at really low price then its your choiv=ce or you could do buy now or best offer so you can choose offer closest to what you were after you only have 48 hrs i believe to except an offer or decline it
