eBay

Can I really not leave negative feedback for a buyer?

I sold a pushchair a week ago and the seller has 100% positive feedback for over 500 items so I thought I was OK with them. They left it 3 days to contact me, then offered me a cheqe or said they would pay by paypal today. I said paypal was fine. Then I get an email today saying they have checked their account and there is no money in it so will not be going ahead with the transaction . I can file a non paying bidder thingy tomrrow, but there seems to be no way to leave feedback. If so, I can see why this person has 100% which is completely misleading. I am quite unreasonably cross. I suspect they never had any intention of paying, as they took so long to respond to my emails in the first place. Grrrrr

I have emailed them saying I will and they sent a really abusive email back I do wonder why on earth you can't leave negative for buyers anymore. No more ebay for me, I think they have really shot themselves in the foot with this one. All the feedback for this person is positive, which is certainly not my experience. I do not take kindly to being sworn at in an email, but there is no way to leave feedback that reflects this. I wonder how many buyers are now trying it on knowing there are no repurcussions

yup, buyers from now on will always have the 100% FB - daft innit?
File a non payer dispute and they will get a strike. Apparently after so many strikes they are out (apparently)

I have had a big increase in non payers since this FB change and have no way to warn others. I have one at the moment who I just know only BINed so that my item wasn't competing with theirs.
I'm also dealing with a dreadful buyer at the moment who is simply using the fact she can neg me without getting a neg in return to behave appallingly. I'm sticking to my guns tho, she can neg away.... I won't be bullied.

there is a button at the bottom of the message to report abusive messages.

The worst part is that they can still leave you negative feedback even if they are the ones who are in the wrong.

I agree, it's going to really change the way ebay works. I had 7 items on recently when we moved house, and 3 of the winning bidders let me down, which was hugely inconvenient as they were large items which we needed to get out of the house before we moved.

Such stupid excuses as well, one woman hadn't noticed it was 'collection only' (a big glass fronted book case) and was disappointed that it couldn't be shipped to Greece! Another couldn't get it together to organise a courier to pick up the item (another large highly breakable collection only one) and I wasn't prepared to organise it for her as she was so flaky I didn't trust her.

I did report it and got my listing fees refunded, but it was the inconvenience that was the biggest PITA, and the buyer totally gets away with it.
