Can anyone recommend a GOOD courier? - not Parcel2go as they are utterly useless

I recently sold two buggies on ebay, and was told that I could use the company Parcel2go.com . On their website it said that ebay sellers could get a discount if they placed their company logo on their listing. I duly did this and now, despite several increasingly stroppy emails they have repeatedly failed to send me the discount codes. As far as I'm concerned if they can't even email me a blardy code I'm not going to trust them to deliver £200 worth of buggies.

I contacted my buyers apologetically today and said that I'd try and find another courier this evening, but now one of them has sent me a polite email saying she needs the buggy before Saturday as she's going on holiday, therefore she's asked for a refund.

So (here's the end of my story) I'll have to find another courier and will most likely have to pay extra as I didn't charge huge delivery costs like most ebayers. Can anyone recommend a courier who actually knows what they're doing? I need to try and book this delivery now if possible so as not to lose the sale!

Hiya,

I use these

this is their main website - works out about £7.99 buying direct from the website once they've added VAT

They use DHL & are next day delivery - I've ussed them hundreds of times (mainly for prams) & they are fab!

Ps if you book tonight they will collect tomorrow - you can even book up to 10am for same day collection.

I' ve used Ebay couriers before and they're not always great. I have, however, had no problems at all with DHL express service. (Hoping now I haven't jinxed this!)

I book via Interparcel UK and it's just over £8 for the £48 service nearly a tenner for the 24 hour service.

It's a little more expensive than the Ebay bookers, but you have more control over what's booked/not booked.

The Ebay people I always end up having to wait in 2 days for the courier to arrive and I email them without getting any response, which makes me anxious. It's worth the extra few pounds for my peace of mind....

Good luck with this..

I have to say I have never yet had a prob with Couriers Direct/MHDirectCouriers they always pick up the day I book for & the parcel is always delievered next day.

I know it's DHL they use - it might even be DHL Express.

The tracking service is top notch too.

Quite a few times I've booked a parcel at 9 in the morning for collection that day & they've collected it no probs

i use senditnow.com, who use parcelforce and are covered upto £150. they are £11.99 for parcelforce 24 service. it is reliable and you can have it collected or drop it at the parcelforce depot. i always select to print the label off as it means its immediately scanned in so you can track it.
