I sold an item a while ago, the buyer is claiming he never received the goods, and opened a Paypal dispute. I have given him a full refund (probably a bit prematurely, but i was quite worried about a dispute being started so soon, when i'd been in regular communication with him!), but now my eBay page is saying that the item is awaiting payment. How do i sort it so that eBay know the item has been lost, then i can get a final fee credit? Ta.

I think they only way you can do this is a mutual agreement not to complete the transaction

When you give a refund it's automatically logged by Ebay so the system knows that there's technically no payment for the item IYSWIM
Try contacting Ebay either by Email or phone them, go to:
this page and Email them direct, they should be able to sort you out with a credit.

Thanks for the advice. When i searched through eBay's help section, it did mention needing mutual agreement etc, and to be honest, given the complete lack of communication from the buyer (apart from him opening a Paypal dispute!), i wouldn't be confident that he'd either pick up the message or indeed respond to it! I'll contact eBay directly instead.
