eBay

How quickly do ebay react when you report a listing for breaking listing policies?

I reported this listing to eBay on Friday, but it's still up there.

The seller states "If this does'nt reach a decsent amount il take it off as im not giving it away as these a small fortune to buy...so please don't expect it for a couple of pound's it won't happen." (sic)

That attitude really annoys me; why didn't the seller just put a higher starting price, instead of 99p? They could have had a starting price up to £14.99 and only paid 35p for the listing (instead of 15p for the 99p starting price).

It looks like a clear breach of listing policy to me. So why hasn't the listing been removed yet?

If you want it, bid on it for 99p at the last minute (www.auctionstealer.com will place your bid for you in the last few seconds of an auction).

He can't say "not going to happen". It's a no-reserve listing and the rules of eBay are perfectly clear - an auction is a legally binding contract and if you're the highest bidder at 99p, he has to send it to you. Doesn't matter if it's a diamond bracelet or an Aston Martin - last price gets it. If he doesn't, they'll de-register him.

wouldn't bid on that anyway- a lister who doesn't make an effort to punctuate, who says that there are a few little bits missing, and who puts on very unclear photos- would run a mile.

Agree, it should be removed

what a chop - makes u want to win it for 99p just to piss him off, but he is probably bitty dodgy, no coorect punctuation and he SHOUTS and uses bold - best avoided imo

It's still there. There's no way I would bid on it. Nobody else has bid on it either.

Listing has ended and someone has bought it for 99p! I hope the buyer is prepared to be assertive.

I also just noticed that the seller says "PLEASE PAY WITHIN 24HRS........please remember i can take up to ten day's to post item's out" (sic)
