Feedback conundrum. P&P

I know this has probably been done to death.
I've always been okay with a 1 or £2 extra charge, but paid £11 p&p. The item has just arrived in a carrier bag and as a small parcel for £3!
Feeling kind of ripped off tbh.
Just do the stars?
Neutral?
Negative?

Why don't you ask (politely) the seller for a partial refund? As a seller I would prefer to be given a chance to resolve any issues rather than negative feedback.

Be factual in the feedback.

‘Item good. Disappointingly EXTORTIONATE P&P.’

To be fair, you did agree to pay it I’m afraid.

hit the stars mark as 1 for P&P and buyers can leave negative feedback say item ok but postage extortionate

just message the seller something like this to start with

hi your parcel arrived today, I noticed that the actual postage was £3 but I paid £11 it is normal to allow a small amount for packaging as this was just a mailing bag I would see 30p as being reasonable, so I would like a refund for the excess postage of £7.70
I am sure the original postage of £11 was an oversight on your part having forgot to change it from some larger item you were selling
I would like to resolve this amicably and look forward to your reply"

you can't leave negative feedback for 7 days it is best to resolve it with seller, not that i really believe it was an oversight but giving benefit of doubt is more likely to resolve matter amicably and get you the refund it also allows the seller to backtrack gracefully it is better to get £7+ back than just leave negative feedback and get no money back

I left neutral feedback for someone who quoted postage of £7 for a textbook that is usually second class parcel £3. I emailed to ask if that was the right price for that service £7 and they said that was what Royal Mail charged. They posted and was £3. I emailed to ask for a refund, they said no tough you knew the price.
So left neutral and no stars for postage. The package also was badly wrapped in an envelope that broke due to weight of massive textbook insider so Royal Mail had to re package. I felt neutral was fair as I had queried it before buying.

I think that part of the problem is that ebay suggest a postage price when an item is listed (eg a coat/jacket is suggested at around £7) whereas RM or Hermes will charge a lot less when it comes to dispatching the item based on weight and size. Some sellers aren't aware that the postage price can be changed - when I've queried a high postage charge with someone they've come back with "this is what eBay said it would cost".

OP - please do leave negative feedback and low stars for postage if the seller isnt willing to refund part of their extortionate fee.
