Help! - dispute with ebay shop over faulty item purchased

Help! I bought a brand new item from an ebay shop which was faulty. They have refused to give me a refund saying I should contact the manufacturer directly.

They have now left feedback for me saying "LIAR, FRAUD & BLACKMAILER. BRAIN DEAD WASTER! AVOID!" I am a bit of a novice at this so I was wondering if there is any further course of action open to me?

Thanks.

dont worry about it too much, reply to the feedback you've got and then leave -ve for them. If you paid by paypal, do a paypal claim. If you leave equally nasty feedback for them, they might agree to withdrawel of both sets of feedback, so it will come off your feedback too. YOu could complain but it is likely that Ebay won't do sod all.

Sorry but that kind of feedback is defamatory & quite possible libel. Would demand a retraction or apology & threaten legal intervention.
Complain to ebay about comments left. Fraud & blackmailer are very serious allegations

Oh - and 'out' the shop on here so we can all avoid them

file a item not as described, and request a refund.
payal will need you to return the item to teh seller by trackable means and then they will refund you
