But eBay have become very strict about sellers trying to sell goods outside of eBay.

Yes, something like that. How would ebay know if I did that?

Yes they would know. I guess they pick up on key words in the messaging system and you will get a warning first, then an account suspension.

But one way to get round that would be, rather than using eBay messaging system, check the PayPal payment and there would be an email address linked to it, then you could just email them directly.
