eBay

Accidentally sold to someone in Spain

I usually switch off the global shipping but must have forgotten. My quoted postage was .2.80 for 2nd class Royal Mail.
Do I have to honour the sale and post to Spain presumably at a loss to myself?

If it's the eBay global shipping, they have a UK address you send to, then they send on abroad rather than you. Check what shipping option it's gone onto.

As advised by Barry, check the PayPal payment and there will be a U.K. based address.

Basically you send the item to an eBay Centre and they send it on from there, invoicing the buyer separately for the onward postage.

No need to stress. Just make sure you upload the reference number from the proof of postage, against the sales record, for a delivery confirmation.

Ah on thanks all I panicked when I saw Spain. Will wait and see. They’ve not paid yet anyway.

if it has gone through the international sale system you will get the price of the item and the postage you have qouted, the address you will get is a Uk hub you send it to them with the id they give you and then they send it on, i have found it very good actually as its tracked from you to buyer and they let you know progress via email

It's also possible that you have turned off global shipping but a buyer in Spain hopes you'll post there - if you don't want to, you can just put that a reason not to go ahead with the sale.

I've had this happen but it wasn't spain. The buyer had problems paying but the message was not in English and I asked for it to be cancelled.
I don't know what happens if a buyer from outside the UK wants to return the item.
