Seller cancels purchase for buyer then to pay off ebay

We bought 10 days ago an Ikea kitchen on ebay for £1500. Shortly after the purchase the seller offerd us a lower price on the condition to cancel and to pay outside of ebay/paypal (because she wants to safe on chargers incurred through ebay). Because of the buyers protection we did not agree. Now we have organised a delivery/pickup from Surry to Scotland and seller is difficult with the shipment to arrange a date and time for the pick-up. Now she has canceled the purchase on paypal, after refusing two pickup dates and stating the shipment has never contacted her. She now offers us to pay via banktransfer on Friday, £14000, for the kitchen to be picked up on Saturday (both the seller and shipment have agreed to this). This is so confusing and we are not sure what this is all about. Why would the seller want us to pay outsie of ebay? Is it safe to go though with it. We already have hired/paid the shipment and the whole situation seems a bit odd. Any insights would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.
