What am I doing wrong?

I am in real need of some cash and thought it would be fairly easy to stick some of DDs old clothes on Ebay and make some cash. Have so far only listed 6 items but not had one single bid!!
What am I doing wrong? Dont know if can be bothered putting all rest her stuff on, and I have loads, if not going to be any bidders.
Do things sell better in bundles or single items? Please help as would like to join the £400 by Easter challenge

I have 14 items ending today and no bids so know how you feel!
Bundles i think sell better but i prefer single items co there is always something in a bundle i don't want/need!

Keep trying and do join us on the ebay challenge thread.

If it's any help, I put up 40 items (none were children's clothes, though) and only 25 sold.

I had NO bids on my items that finished last night - until 5 minutes before the end of the auction - in fact one item only had bids on it in the last MINUTE! Don't give up hope.

Sunday evenings are 'best' times for things finishing - although any evening is better than daytime IME.

Also it's often worth relisting stuff - I've sold quite a few bits 2nd time round that didn't get any interest 1st time.

Dont know how to link to the actual Ebay listings.
These are the types of things been trying to sell though this

to link to one of your listings - just do it exactly the same way you've just done the link to the picturetrail -

oh you've got AGES left on them yet - I really wouldn't worry about now bids just yet

What do you think then fannyannie, does that seem like a reasonable bundle or am I way off the mark here?

they look ok to me (don't really sell children's clothes as most of the DS's stuff are hand-me-downs that have been used by my cousins 2 DS's, then DS1 and now DS2 LOL).

As you haven;t got any bids I would change the title to read Baby Girls 3-6 month top bundle PUMPKIN PATCH

That way you are likely to have more hits from searches

I think it looks fine (and would have bought it 3 months ago). You do have ages left. Do you have any watchers?

Also, I would take a photo of all the tops together to go in the gallery if you have a gallery picture? Sometimes I just scroll down looking at gallery pictures. I'd look at yours, not see the word bundle, see 1 top and a £2 starting price and not bother looking.

Aside from the fact that I have a son so wouldn;t be looking at girls stuff, obviously!

no watchers and this is my second time listing so just wanted idea of what was doing wrong. Think I will stick more bundles on and see how it goes. Also stuck several cook books on

Had a look at the rest of your stuff to see if you did do Gallery - you need to add "baby" to all 3 clothes listings plus "girls" to one of them. Get as many searchables in your title as allowable.

Hi I would add more detail in the titles, eg for your Next dresses, perhaps say "NEXT Baby Girl Dresses, 3-6 MONTHS" - also you could try using caps and maybe an adjective such as pink, pretty, sweet etc. Also for your bundle I agree with a previous post, I would change the gallery pic to one showing all the tops liad out so buyers can get an idea of what's included from the pic. You could also add eg VGC to the title. Good luck...

hi kirstygem,
im not very ebay expert, have you tried to sell on for sale board. i rather sell cheap here than selling on ebay. i always add something free or i post free for second class. i only sell on ebay when they have listing offers. and also selling bundles better than single item. good luck

Bundles do tend to sell better and I mean bundles of all clothes so someone can bid and get all they need in a one-er. Also, the gallery photo should reflect exactly what it is you are selling, you can then add more pics of sub-bundles or offer to email pics to prospective bidders.

I've been very successful selling stuff on Ebay but not when it comes to selling kids clothes, even the couple of designer things. I think it's because kids clothes are generally really cheap and available in the supermarkets and such like so it's hard to compete.

Thanks for all the advice ladies. Will edit my listings and try some bundles. Did sell a cook book today, my first item so feel quite happy to have sold something at least.
