If it is from ebay it would be in your messages in "My Ebay"

Scam scam scam.

Ebay always greet you with your ebay id when they email you. And they wouldn't have grammatical errors.

Never click on the links in these things, not even just to see, without logging in, as they may install malware. Always type in the ebay address yourself.

If you are ever unsure, then forward the email onto [email protected] (or [email protected] for paypal ones) and ebay will tell you if it is a scam or not.

Sorry is definitely fake. Very common one that does the rounds - I've had it. Letters from ebay usually show your actual name at the top, whereas fakes show your screen name - to verify its validity. Had it myself.

Um, it's really easy to make an email be from [email protected]. Really.

I got caught by a scam a few months ago. Wasn't aware of the spoof addresses and lost a mobile from it.

If you forward the email them (ebay), show full headers as this helps them to figure out where it originated.

to them

SCAM SCAM SCAM

there are loads of ebay scams and they always look really good!

Ebay never ask you for user ID and password - don't go to any links and enter this info, only enter when you know you have logged onto to real ebay.

If in doubt suspect!
