Mysterious payment issue

I hope someone can help me crack this case.

My H used to have a eBay shop, email address A was used for eBay and PayPal.

He closed the store but eBay kept taking fees so I deleted the eBay account and created a new account with email address B.

He has been selling items with new eBay account linked to email B but used PayPal with email A no issues buying or selling for a year.

This week he lists 2 items all 4 are listed as paid on eBay but PayPal says only 2 items paid, contacted buyers both say the paid.

Where is the money? No PayPal account for email B so can't have gone to a different account.

He's left me in charge and I'm totally baffled as to what has happened. Any ideas??

Look on the listing, it should tell you what email the £ has gone to.

If it confirms that the money has gone into the account you think it has, then call PayPal to confirm.

If customers are still saying they paid and you can't find any trace of it, tell them to contact PayPal for clarification.

Can you open an unpaid item against the case? (If it's been over 48 hours) if so, then they haven't paid

I've double checked the emails and there was no email from PayPal to say paid.

eBay is marked as paid when I click on view transaction it takes me to PayPal login. When I do log into PayPal no sign.

It's very strange.

Maybe it's a pending payment?

Again, does it give you the option to open a non payment case?

Problem solved, seems it has been paid into a old PayPal account that hasn't been used since 2007.

No idea how the money got in there, that is a total mystery.

Looks like that will be set as the default account on your ebay account then. Best change it in your settings if you don't want it going there again.
