"Out for delivery" since Thursday

Expected a parcel last week.
Tracking states it was out for delivery last week on Thursday but thats it.
DH and I both at work on Thursday, parcel isn't with neighbours and no note through the door stating delivery attempted etc.
We have no 'safe place' live in a terrace in London.
Do I contact hermes or do I contact the seller and ask them to contact hermes. Item is worth £50+ and need it in the next 6 days.

You wait until the expected delivery time has ended and if it hasn't arrived then you contact the seller. It is their responsibility to get the parcel to you so they should chase up with Hermes.

If you do need to contact the seller try to do this without opening a case. (It is very easy on ebay to accidentally open a case.)

Any nonsense from the seller, for example trying to shrug off responsibility for the problem, and you can open a case against them.

Update to say I managed to contact the seller without opening a case.
Seller very professional and contacted hermes who have admitted they have lost the parcel.
Seller offered a full refund.

Now that's how problem resolution should work on ebay. Glad you're getting it sorted out.
