Can I get negative feedback removed?

I listed 2 items last week. I meant to list as an auction starting at £1 with appropriate postage. Both items worth about £20. Instead, some sort of autofill happened and they were listed as £1 Buy It Now with free P&P. I quickly tried to amend but both got snapped up immediately. One paid instantly, one never paid. I therefore cancelled within seconds of the BIN taking place and relisted properly. I sent polite explanations, both buyers got narky, one threatening to report me to eBay for fraud. As it stood, it would have cost me about £6 to send them the items that they'd paid me a total of £1 each for! Both items sold today under the normal auction format, and both of the original buyers have given me negative feedback e.g. "Won this for £1. Seller cancelled sale then relisted, against eBay rules".

I've never had negative feedback before but I thought you could respond to buyers feedback. How would I do that? I have reported both buyers feedback, explaining the error that I made and how I tried to resolve it fairly. Is there anything else I can do?

In this situation, I doubt it. I understand why the buyer is peeved. Their feedback is factual. You say some kind of "auto fill happened", but with the greatest respect, you should have checked the listing before publishing it.

All you can do here is add a feedback response to provide your side of the story so anyone reviewing your feedback will hopefully understand it was a genuine mistake.

I have managed to reply to the feedback. Got a ridiculous message threatening me with legal action for breech of contract from the 1 who never paid. Have noticed that she has a history of leaving negative feedback, including to a few people who made the same error bizarrely. She must sit on eBay waiting for similar mistakes.

just ignore the messages and block the buyer. you made a mistake, tried to appeal to their better nature and failed. unfortunately, even though it was an honest mistake, you are the one at fault and the buyers haven't taken it too well! try to forget about it and move on.
