eBay

best way to avoid scammers - hermes or RM recorded?

Sold stuff on ebay before with no problems, usually under £50 items. However, I want to sell items that are worth a bit more but have heard lots about scammers who bid, pay but then claim item didn't arrive only for ebay to automatically refund them (obv there are genuine cases like this too). What happens if you have an item tracked which says it has been delivered but buyer still claims it hasn't been? And what's the best way to send an item - recorded or courier?
many thanks

Hermes all the way for me (don't bother paying extra for signature btw) - RM I don't trust at all, they often don't bother with a signature. And they cost more too.

If you have online proof of delivery a buyer will not get a refund.

I always use royal mail and have never had any problems with them. I do however, hear countless stories of myhermes deliveries going astray..... Never used them myself though!
