Seller didn't refund my original postage

Won an auction for some boots.

Boots arrive with lots of discolouration marks, I contact seller stating this information was missing in her description and that I'd like to return for refund.

I return, but she only refunds the amount I won them for, not the £5 postage I paid.

She can't do this, can she?

I contacted her asking why only a partial refund, I've not had a response yet.

Thanks in advance.

no she can't - did you return tracked? If so open not as described case and enter the tracking info.

Hi.

I returned signed for.

She finally replied to me. Said she'd refunded me the price of the boots, but will send me money for postage later today.

she needs to send it as a refund not as a payment and she should give return costs too if they are not as described.

What's the difference of her giving it as a refund as opposed to a payment?

you pay fees and she could file not received and claw it back - she needs to click on the orig payment from you and click on refund. If she sends you money as funds then refund it and ask for her to refund in the correct way.
