oh dear- I am on a roll today. have just posted about a difficult buyer. I sold some items beginning of week and requested 2 withdrawals to bank. I dont sell much but have beeen registerd with ebay for long time. Tend to sell every few months - regular sort out type of thing.

One withdrawal was for £40 and the other for £32. I have left some in paypal as wanting to buy some items myself. Both stated "pending" . I have now noticed that the one I requested Tuesday night has gone into my account - after 72 hours. The other is still pending but I guess will go in this evening. I emailed paypal and got a standard response saying it is not a new process and there could be various reasons. Are others experienceing this? I dont want to list lots of heavy items and then have to wait for money - as the postage alone might cost a lot - and the reason for having a clear out is to get some quick cash - not end up with less cash as have to fork out for postage before I get my hands on money from sale of items. Is it just me?

This is very annoying. However, you do need to read PayPal's terms and conditions regarding this. They are very clear that they may hold funds for a certain amount of time if you are a new or irregular seller. This is so that they can ensure there are suitable funds if a buyer requires a refund. To help get money released more quickly, ship out your item more quickly, add the tracking details and hope that your buyer gives feedback quickly.

Also you can pay the postage through paypal and this will be deducted from the amount that is pending.

I've just started selling and the money is held for 21 days! I don't know how they expect people to pay the postage if you're selling because you're skint. Wish I hadn't bothered now.
