Returns on Buy It Now

I sold a handmade ring that was previously on auction as buy it now as the auction ended and she wanted it quickly as a gift. It was free postage too. Now the buyer says she doesn't want it because it wasn't as nice as the picture suggested. (thanks for the insult!)

Am I obliged to take the return? I had a no returns policy on the listing as it had been on auction. What happens about the buy it now fee, do I still have to pay it and finally, can I ask that she returns it recorded delivery? I have had things go missing in post and worry it might go astray.
Thank you!

yes you have to accept the return and you can send a cancellation to get your fees back. If buyer doesn't send with proof of delivery then it is their loss not yours.
