other than I haven't met seller performance standards. So does this mean that I won't can sell again?? or is it temporary?
The email they sent just said my account has been restricted and that all listings (there weren't any since december) have been removed.

Have you looked at your seller dashboard, have you had any negs recently or low stars?

Oh dear.... go to the dashboard & see what your detailed stars say (what numbers out of 5 are they for which item)?

What exactly is the restriction, complete ban or just restrictions on when and how? Might still be able to save your account, need more info.

It says on the message that my seller account has been restricted. Then in another message it says that it is due to issues with my account due to breaches of my seller performance policy

I have 3 x5 stars and 1 x 4 stars.

Possibly a scam.

Is it an email or has it been sent to your eBay inbox as well.

Is there a link contained within the email that may ask you to input certain details I.e PayPal details

If you are not sure then I would ring eBay and speak to someone in their customer services

When you say that you have a 4 star for something, is it nearer 4 or nearer 5? And how many total feedbacks as a seller do you have?

Have you lifted photos or descriptions from someone else's listing? If so they might have reported you and if eBay agree thy can ban you.

lljkk · 06/02/2014 18:25

What MM said, how many 1s and 2s in each area? And what exactly is the item that is 4*, 4.6? 4.2? In what area?

Meeting seller standards is to do with DSRs I think and there are a set number of low stars (1s and 2s) allowed for each section. I think this is done as a % of your sales. Try and have a good look at your seller reports and see if you can gather any info. Apart from that I would do as other people have suggested and check it isn't a scam and speak to someone. If you don't sell much it might only take 2 or 3 people knocking your stars down to cause trouble. If you haven't been selling lately as you say then it seems a bit iffy that you would get this message now, could be a scam or error.

There are other ways to create a bad buyer experience, such as unresolved cases or policy violations. We can't know unless OP comes back, though (stamps feet imperiously).
