Give it a bit more time. The money should show in PP soon

Ok thanks .

Its saying to get my money faster to post the item (which i am doing first thing) but ive well over 40 feedback so i didnt think that Paypal put a hold on money if you had over ten feedback Confused

Has it paid into the wrong email address? Check with the buyer. If it has you'll need to cancel it, get them to change it to the right address and then pay it again.

I recently bought something on eBay and for some reason the payment took ages to go through. I was told (by eBay or paypal, can't remember) that the item wouldn't be posted until the payment went through, which seemed reasonable to me.

I'd check before posting it that you are covered incase the money doesn't come through at all.

if it is paid to the wrong email address the buyer has to cancel the payment and then you need to give them the right email address to send money to direct at paypal.

Please do not post the item yet.

You're not going to like to hear this - but when you are a new seller any payments you receive are held for 21 days. I also found that out the hard way rrecently!! I had a few hundred quid from selling that I couldn't touch until I passed the three week probation. It's so hard when you are counting on the money but as far as I'm aware there isn't much you can do but wait :( Sorry!

As long as the buyer leaves positive feedback then I should receive my money once they send it to the correct PayPal address .
As from what I can remember from when I use to sell as long as its not a new account & you have over 10 feedback then its ok iyswim

Also the payment was sent to a none existent PayPal account so I hope the buyers don't try and scam me and just cancel the payment & not bother resending

SandyDilbert · 10/11/2013 07:55

and have you messaged the buyer and told them to cancel the payment and given them the correct email to send the money to?

Yes i sent them both first class tracked yesterday though i thankfully missed the last post .

i have asked them both to cancel and resend to correct email address though i have only heard back from one of the buyers and he is still trying to pay via the ebay confirmation email iyswim

Eurgh i feel sick with worry , how can i be so damn stupid Angry

normal recorded only insures for £20 doesn't it?

can you add the wrong email address to your paypal to accept the payment

your buyer needs to login at paypal.co.uk and hit the 'send money' tab then enter the correct email address and send money that way.

Nothing:( Even if the email address is inactive, you should still be able to add it to your paypal. If the have cancelled their payments that won't help though.

the only thing you can do is pursue them via small claims for the money.

log into paypal and go to your account and then to profile then email - you can add an email address there but will need access to that email address to verify

I doubt the post office will give you back parcels after posting, they aren't allowed to are they?

Report
BikeRunSki · 10/11/2013 10:14

Once the parcels are posted the po won't give them back.

never never post until you have the money. surely that is common sense?

My ebay account was saying payment was being processed which is why i thought i just had to put the tracking details in and then i would receive the money

have you any other listings with the wrong email address on them? - if so you need to amend them now

sadly recorded post is not always reliable, I find about half of the time posties don't bother to get a signature so you may never have proof of delivery.

don't know if this will help but I couldn't receive payment when I started a new paypal because although I had linked it I hadn't verified the paypal account, as soon as I did that (via the paypal home page once logged in) it accepted the two payments pending

hope you get it sorted xx
