courier cheaper than myhermes?

hi please could anyone recommend a door to door courier service cheaper than myhermes? i have found them to be great but they have just put the minimum weight band to 0-2kg which means that £4.20 for say a small clothing item will seem to steep for buyers. am very annoyed and cant face the post office as their pricing structure is baffling!

Only get cheaper if you send high volume of items, I'm afraid.
You can pack a lot into a cereal box, and most cereal boxes fit the lowest tariff with Royal Mail. Still have to stay under 1kg, mind.

a small clothing item should fit into royal mail small parcel which is 2.60 second class either less than 16cm cube or 45x35x8 cm ( about size of large cornflake packet which you could squeeze almost all clothing into except coats fleeces adult jeans maybe
