Blimmin bidder in Denmark - are these postage quotes right?

Despite me ticking the uk postage only option someone from Denmark has won my large bundle of clothing and has asked for postage cost. The parcel weighs 7kgs and is 60cms long, 48 cms wide and 18 cms deep. The value of the goods is £23.

I've been on the Royal Mail website and they are quoting me £42 for delivering it via Parcel Force. Is this really the cheapest way?

You could always contact buyer and say they need to arrange collection as you stipulated only UK. Then offer second chance buy to next person.

Im not sure RM is cheapest, maybe TNT or similar courier will be cheaper.

I always use Parcel2Go for parcels as it's a comparison site and will list different couriers/delivery time options so you can pick the one that suits you.

Just put your parcel size/weight details and and it reckons £17.99+vat for Parcelforce 3 day service.

Thanks OldBeanbagz. Have looked that up and it is much cheaper by far.

JaxTellerIsAllMine, I don't mind going ahead with the sale if they definately want it, but I just want the stuff out of my house. I've never had much luck using the 2nd chance offer on ebay. People never want it when I've done a 2nd chance offer and I end up having to relist after weeks. I've probably just been unlucky though.

Transglobal has been good for me, heavy items, worth getting a quote.

17,99 is a good reasonable quote go with it

you must have forgot to block bidders from countries you do not post to and not created an exclusion list UK only means only UK sie does not mean that someone else can not search uk site

denmark is a reliable place to send so do not worry anymore than you would if sending to bristol

I did look up denmark postal service and it seemed fine. I wouldn't post to Italy though after hearing bad things about their postal service. The £17.99 has VAT on top but is still by far the cheapest one I came across and the buyer is happy to pay it.

I was just gobsmacked when I got the first quote from Royal Mail.
