Having a clear out and was wondering if its better to run auctions or buy it now

I generally start auctions at the lowest I would be willing to accept but would a buy it now be better?

What are the fees like in comparion?

I think BIN listing is usually fixed at 40p (may depend on value); anyway, that's obviously 40p more than FLW. Otherwise, same fees as auctions.

But a lot of buyers prefer BIN; get it bought, no waiting for auction & unknown price & faff. So stuff that never seems to sell in an auction will more likely to shift when BIN.

I think 30day BIN is better* for what I call "low sell" items: they don't sell often and also tend to sell for lowish values. And auction better for desirable things, as long as you finish the auction in an evening 7-10pm sort of time.

*Better if the sale price can easily include the 40p listing fee, that is.

hth.
