Considering the snow how long should I leave it before I chase up my stuff with seller?

I bought a jacket last monday from a seller who it said normally dispaches within 3 days. The jacket is still marked as undispached and I haven't had any contact from the seller.

There location says they are in Wales so i'm guessing they have snow. I don't mind a delay because of this obviously, but a quick message to tell me it was going to be posted late have been appreciated.

Is it too soon to chase them up?

I chased my seller up after a week because it didn't say dispatched. She'd "been away"! I just said thank you for letting me know. Its now nearly two weeks and it still hasn't arrived.

Grr don't put things for sale if you're going away Angry

They might have forgotten to update the status?

I wait 10 business days from expected (or confirmed) dispatch date as royal mail wont do a thing til then. I waited 14 working days for a parcel before contacting the seller yesterday. My mail has been coming through as normal, with stuff date stamped Friday in London arriving this morning here in NI

Its actually been longer than two weeks since I INSTANTLY paid for my item. Its only coming from London.

I bought something on the 12th it was in Kent I'm in Yorkshire. It took 2 days to get to me and they had bad snow.

There's no excuse for me not receiving my item from London still. Just a crap seller.

That is crap incognito. Its especially annoying when you have paid instantly.

Although its annoying I don't really mind a delay, I just don't see why they couldn't write a short message to say its going to be late.

I would chase after a week. Lazy sellers will use snow as an excuse unfortunately.

I'll message her if it doesn't arrive today. She doesn't have much feedback as a seller but the ones there are all commenting on quick delivery.

As a seller, I would prefer you to chase me up sooner rather than later, but I'm a business so slightly different in this case.

I'm dealing with two lost parcels that I was only notified of 5 weeks after I shipped them. If it's not there in a week, I would prefer a quick email to tell me - but then I always mark as dispatched the evening of the day I post it.

Just chased it up - apparently dispatched last week recorded delivery.

So then they have a tracking number for you?

I've just realised the top that has arrived came from Somerset not Kent.

They had even worse snow!

I'm starting to think she's pulling a fast one. I did message her last night and she said she'd chase it up. She hasn't got back to me yet.

It says it was sent by courier so we'll just have to see

I've had my first post today since Thursday. The postman said there are some areas that won't get their first delivery until tomorrow.

No, she didn't give me a tracking number. I'll send her a message asking for it.

I have been getting my post normally, I have been getting quite a few parcels this last week and everything else has arrived as expected. I'm also a bit suprised she has said its sent recorded, it was meant to be sent standard first class.

My seller wrote back ( to my polite email) basically saying I must be a liar and my housemate has it and not told me. He did refund me though.

I confirmed that I live with my 10 year old DD who has no need for 2 boxes of olay, i work from home and often personally take the letters from posties hand ( we like a chat!) my postie has a secret safe spot for parcels, and my 100% feedback rating suggests I'm v honest and reliable ( it's almost all as a seller) they didn't reply. I bought a duplicate and they posted it today.

I purchased an item which hasn't turned up. The seller gave me the tracker code and its showing as 'being tracked through network'. Date of postage was 10 January. It was posted from Cambridgeshire. Might there still be hope for it do you think? I'm in Scotland. Will be gutted if its 'lost'. Good luck to everyone else waiting on stuff.

Mrs I would get back in contact with the seller and tell them the tracking code doesn't work, do you know which company is delivering it?

No reply from my seller giving me the tracking number yet...

The tracking code dies work though? It's just the package is...progressing! The seller has sent it and I think you should give it a few more days.

Incog - how long after you bought it did she post? I read about her "being away" but couldn't see how long ago she actually posted. Do all couriers have tracking info?

I chased it after about a week. I won it on the Sunday and messaged her a week on tuesday later she did answer me straight away on the tuesday and marked it as dispatched that day too.

I live in a very small village (think about 200 people) so I know my couriers very well. Well the 2 usual ones. Its only really large items that come from somebody I don't know. This item is just a dress. Confused

I have just had a sarky reply to my very polite request for the tracking number. She tells me its not her fault the post isn't getting though and that nobody has been getting any parcels (I bed to differ - everything else has been on time). No tracking number was forthcoming though, apparently it is on her desk at work.

Sounds like your seller is full of it like mine.

My seller posted my item yesterday. Angry

She must not know the post office stamp the date on the parcel at the post office.
