Negative feedback rather than contact email

Grrrrrr
Just got my first piece of negative feedback from a client, informing me his good haven't arrived. I'm a little irked because he didn't try to contact me in any other way to tell me (at which point I would have sent a replacement).
I responded to the feedback and sent another in the post but what are my chances of getting ebay to remove the feedback? I have a perfect score until then! (sobs the perfectionist)

nasty thing to do without warning you!
as a frequent buyer I've only ever given negative feedback when goods were sent dirty/greasy/broken and despite my emails and patience buyer had a crap attitude (so no money back)

you can contact Ebay, but unless the buyer agrees I'm not sure you can retrieve it

I seem to remember that if you go to the actual feedback page you may be able to leave a comment under the negative feedback - so you have a way of adding your side to the story.

the score will be back to 100% after 6 months or a year.

I used to sell also, but not anymore. I was deemed untrustworthy after bloody buyer left me crap DSR -I clearly stated that I can only post on Satrurdays, but will try earlier, but they left me 1 star rating coz I didn't post the next day!
I was pregnant with DS4, had 3 children under 5 to shuffle around and was just about to move out, so rather busy and incapable to run to PO every 5 seconds for things that earned me about £1.00!

I have sold anything since.

Thanks amazing, that's really helpful.
Yes it was a rather nasty thing to do. I've sent a few contrite emails informing him thus and being super polite and helpful.
I'll email ebay and see what they do.
Cheers
Queenie
