I've just had a message from a buyer, saying can she have my address to return something.

It's a bag, she was the only bidder.

this is the listing.

This is what she says:

'Hi There
I am really sorry but I am not happy with this bag and would like to return it.
The picture didn't really show what it was like and I thought it was long handled : (
Could you send me your address for a return.

I stated in the listing that it has no shoulder strap, and gave the length of the straps. What was I supposed to do?

Do you think ebay will find in her favour if she opens a dispute? I've replaied saying I'm sorry she isn't happy but I gave the measurements and I'm not sure what else I could have done.

I don't think I'm going to sell anything on ebay any more - I've had enough.

Well I liked your listing! Here, have some wine and try to forget about the old cowbag seller

You have stated the length of the handles and one can clearly be seen. Let her open a dispute.

Thanks guys esp for the vino smile

I think if she'd got cm and inches mixed up they'd be even shorter!

Well I'll worry about it till she answers - and probably get in a state, and so on, as I always do about ebay. But yes I think the onus is on her to kind of push her point, really...hmm. thankyou everyone thanks

Well, I had a message at 11pm saying, sorry, she just feels it wasn't really worth it and she wouldn't get her money back.

So could I refund just the postage - as it would make her feel better I've agreed to this and sent her £5, and I hope that's the last of it.

I'd rather she kept it and I understand where she is coming from regarding the photos, but then it's probablywiser not to buy something if you can't make out what it looks like...still, I've done similar. And anything really for a quieter life at the moment!

Does anyone know - can she still open a dispute and claim the money back, again? Or the rest of it, or something? I'm a bit worried this isn't finished.

she could still open a dispute. Did you refund her via the original paypal payment or did you give her the £5 by sending money, if the latter she could claim a full refund still, and also keep the £5 extra.

BUYER!! I meant BUYER!! Sorry.

Pinot grin

Fergoose, yes I used the refund link on the transaction in my paypal account, so hopefully that'll stop her trying to do both - I think she just wanted something back, iyswim, which I can understand as I've felt that way about stuff before when it's just been a bit of buyer's remorse. I'm just not normally cheeky enough to ask!

Thankyou for the info re sending money separately. I'll try and remember not to do that if it ever happens again.
