eBay

selling before auction ends

I have listed an eletrical item on ebay and people are bidding on it. The auction ends tomorrow. Someone has messaged me and made me an offer £20 more than the current high bid

It's collection only so I don't know how many people will bid, I would be happy with what this guy is offering. It is ethical to sell it to him and then end the auction early?

Also, I sold a tv last night and promptly sent an invoice. The buyer then messaged me and said his cousin had just told him he could borrow his tv so could he pay my ebay fees by paypal to settle amicably. I have done a second chance offer to the next highest bidder but they haven't responded so far. What do I do here? he committed to buy when he bid

you can open a non paying bidder case for the tv on day 4 - it is the only way you are guaranteed to get your fvf back. Once that case is closed you can then do a second chance offer or relist

the other auction you can end early if you want to - is up to you if that is what you want to do. Just make sure you only take cash on collection, never paypal

Thanks fergoose, as you have answered my question too! I was a bit worried I might have broken "the rules".
