returning an item - photos requested??

Hi. Bought something last week but what has arrived is badly scratched which was not on the description or photos on ebay. Not done this before so learning as go along. but have requested via an ebay message for a refund and explained why. Seller has requested photos. They say once received and they confirm damage that they will refund. How do I send the photos however, is there a function on ebay that I cant find or do I need to ask them for their e-mail address? Just want to do this properly!

When you message via eBay you can now attach photos! I sent some photos this way last night to a buyer. I'm not sure you can send photos to anyone at random, but you definitely can with regards to an existing transaction.
