can people make secret bids?

At the moment on my sellibg lists my items have no bids, everything is still in red
but if I click on my item it is coming up as a bid, and tells me the person who has bid?
what's ot all abpout?

Do you mean shill bidding? Or has someone just put in a bid between you viewing the selling summary and the actual listing?

The identity of the bidder is known only to you, the seller and not other bidders.

usually on thje ebay selling page once someone has bid it turns green and says you've sold an item

it is still red , only when I click on my item it says it has been bid on
