I'm selling DD's sailing dinghy

I've had an email enquiry saying they will pay by paypal & collect the dinghy

I thought that somehow, that was a bad idea & that could leave me vulnerable; but I wasn't really sure how/why. Does anyone know?

Or am I being silly

Yes is bad idea. They could claim it was not received. Cash on collection or paypal and you post/courier it.

hmmm i am not sure how it works outside of ebay

i know on ebay if you accept paypal and the person picks it up they could then say they hadn't received it, open a dispute and claim their money back.
but if you aren't selling via ebay i am not sure that would be an issue.

i would probably prefer cash on collection though just to be on the safe side

Cash on collection or paypal and send it by trackable method.
